Privacy policy

In short: we collect what it takes to build your cover and ship your order, checkout runs through Shopify (they handle your payment details, not us), and a magic-link account is optional and only stores designs you choose to save. We don't sell your personal information. The full policy below is the one that actually governs it.

1. Who this policy covers

DinkCozy operates this store and website (the “Services”) to let you design and order a custom paddle cover. This policy describes how we collect, use, and disclose your personal information when you visit, use, or buy from the Services, or otherwise contact us. If it conflicts with our terms of service, this policy controls for anything about your personal information.

2. Information we collect

Depending on how you use the Services, we collect:

Contact and order details: name, shipping address, email, and phone number if you provide one at checkout.
Design content: photos you upload and text you type into the designer, and the finished design itself if you save or share it.
Account details: your email address, if you sign in with a magic link, and the designs tied to that account.
Transaction information: what you ordered, past orders, and payment confirmation. Full card numbers go straight to Shopify; we never see or store them.
Communications: anything you send us directly, for example a support email.
Device and usage information: your IP address, browser, and how you interact with the site, collected automatically.

3. How we use it

To build your print files, process your order, and arrange shipping.
To save your designs and order history if you create an account, and to let you reopen a design from a link you or someone else generated.
To respond to you when you contact support.
To detect fraud and keep the Services secure.
To improve the designer and the site, including aggregate, non-identifying analytics.
To comply with the law or respond to valid legal process.

We don't use your design photos or text for anything other than producing your order, showing it back to you, and (only if you explicitly opt in) a public community gallery.

4. Who we share it with

Shopify, who runs checkout and processes your payment. Their own privacy policy covers what they do with your payment data.
Our print-on-demand production partner, who receives your shipping address and the print files needed to manufacture and ship your cover.
Supabase, our database and account provider, who stores your saved designs and account email on our behalf.
Anthropic, if you use the AI gift-idea or design-assistant tools, which process the text (and, where that feature is enabled, images) you send them to generate a response.
Law enforcement or a government agency, only when legally required, or in connection with a business transaction like a merger.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for third-party advertising.

5. Accounts and saved designs

Creating an account is optional and uses a passwordless “magic link” sent to your email, no password is ever stored. A saved or shared design link is private and unlisted by default; it's only shown in the public community gallery if you explicitly check that option when saving it. Remixing a shared design creates a separate copy and never edits the original.

6. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a portable copy of your personal information, and to opt out of marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in those emails. To exercise any of these, email us (see Section 9). We won't discriminate against you for asking.

7. Children's privacy

The Services aren't intended for children, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of majority in your jurisdiction. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we'll delete it.

8. Security and retention

We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure. We keep personal information only as long as needed to fulfill your order, maintain your account if you have one, and meet our legal and accounting obligations.
